Wiebke Merck

Wiebke is a professionally certified Integral Coach™, trained by Integral Coaching Canada. She is a highly effective practitioner, who has been very active in professional development, mentoring and coaching/teaching new coaches at ICC®, as well as coaching individual clients, including private and public sector leaders. She is head of her own firm, elbe coaching, based in Ottawa. The name of her business is a gesture of affection for her native Hamburg, Germany.

Wiebke brings rigour, empathy and compassion to every assignment, and her clients consistently comment on her powerful ability to affect change while addressing their individual goals and needs. Building on her life and work experience, her intuitive acumen and emotional intelligence have been invaluable tools in supporting her clients towards true transformation on a wide range of professional and personal development issues. A global outlook, drawing on life experience evenly divided between Europe and North America add to her capacity for a wide range of assignments. She has worked with clients on both continents and designed coaching programs for United Nations executives.

Wiebke's academic and business background include a Bachelor's degree in psychology, an earlier Bachelor's degree in history, both from Carleton University, and work with international business in Canada. She is fluent in English and German, with additional language skills in French and Spanish. She is an engaged parent of two children, an avid health buff and yoga practitioner and an active member of the Ottawa community, including serving on the Board of Directors of Children's Village.
